# Orion EHR

> Orion is the EHR (also called an EMR) built for physical therapy. Its defining promise: switch EMRs without ever turning off the system you bill from. Orion runs alongside your current EHR, goes live with your first patient in about 7 days, and nothing migrates until you decide to switch.

Orion Software, Inc. is a US-based health-tech company. Orion EHR is a cloud electronic health record and practice-management platform purpose-built for physical therapy (PT), with support for OT and SLP. It launches in 2026.

## What makes Orion different

- **Switch with no downtime.** Orion runs in parallel with your existing EHR. Your current system stays the system of record until you choose to cut over; the first real patient is live in ~7 days, and most practices are fully operational in ~35 days.
- **The Test Drive.** A guided trial in a safe, non-production environment. The clinic drives the real software with dummy data (no migration) while Orion staff walk them through it. It costs $1,500 to start and is credited back in full when you switch. No competitor markets a low-risk way to de-risk the switch itself.
- **Transparent pricing.** $189–$249 per billing provider, per month, everything included. You only pay for providers who bill, no module upsells, no surprise renewal invoices. Founding practices get 50% off for 24 months (first 20 clinics). Most PT EHR vendors (WebPT, SPRY, Raintree) do not publish pricing.
- **Aurora, ambient AI scribe.** Built-in, ambient documentation that listens to the visit and drafts the note. "Hands on your patient, not your keyboard."
- **A real app marketplace.** Self-serve, sandboxed, FHIR R4 native. Add only the features your clinic needs in one click, no custom development, no vendor contract. Orion is the only PT/OT/SLP EHR with a true embedded app marketplace.
- **Eligibility at booking.** Insurance eligibility is verified when the appointment is booked, not after.
- **Multi-location included** in the base plan, with no per-location fee.
